Three Places You Might Not Have Looked For Your Remote

Losing the remote controls for TVs can be one of the most frustrating experiences a person has to deal with. Years ago you used to be able to just change channels and volume manually, but many modern entertainment configurations have no buttons. The only way to do anything with them is to use the TV remote controls, which means that you won’t get to relax and catch up on your shows until the stupid television remote controls are found.

What can be even more frustrating is when they’re still nowhere to be found, even after you’ve looked everywhere. But relax. Take a deep breath. Before you rush out to the local electronics store to buy replacement remote controls, try looking in one of these unlikely spots.

In the Car.

Believe it or not, a 2011 survey from TV remote controls manufacturer Logitech found that two percent of people have found their remotes in their car or outside. Who knows just exactly how they got there, but hey — it’s worth a look, right?

In the Fridge.

When you’re hungry, you don’t exactly attention to your immediate surroundings. So maybe when you got that big bowl of delicious nachos or made that impressive sandwich, you accidentally put the TV remote controls in the fridge instead of the queso or the pastrami.

In the Bathroom.

As Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park, “When you gotta go, you gotta go.” Naturally, when the urge to use the toilet strikes you, you’re probably not going to care what’s in your hand. Maybe you inadvertently brought the TV remote controls into the loo with you when you dashed off to answer nature’s call?

Even if you don’t think your they’re any of these places, why not check anyways? Who knows? Maybe your TV remote controls really are in your car? Get more here.
